Dice Symbol Nomenclature

Dad: “As part of setting this up in a textual format (vs copying in images from the rule book) is that the symbols for the dice and the symbols on the dice are not easily used in a text format. Sometimes it seems like Fantasy Flight prefers their dice (colors and symbols) to be proprietary for some reason. I’m choosing some symbols that will work (with inline HTML), and that somewhat correlate to the original symbols and to their counterparts. This article is your legend to that correlation.”

Here’s a picture of the different dice that will be used:

Symbols for Dice (when building and rolling dice pools)
Green Ability dice: ♢ (white diamond)
Purple Difficulty Dice: ♦ (black diamond)
Yellow Proficiency Dice: ○ (white circle)
Red Challenge Dice: ● (black circle)
White Destiny Dice: ⚇
Light Blue Boost Dice: ◻ (white square)
Black Setback Dice: ◼ (black square)

Symbols on Dice (for resolving dice rolls)
Success Result: ☆ (white star) – top side of green dice
Failure Result: ★ (black star) – front side of black dice
Advantage Result: ♧ (white spade) – front side of green dice
Threat Result: ♣ (black spade) – top side of black dice
