Tomorrow night I’ll probably be sleeping at our new house. But the last few days, I’ve been staying with a co-worker and his wife who took pity on me staying in a flea-bag hotel. They were planning on being out of town, so offered me the opportunity to stay at their apartment (which coincidentally is on the penthouse level of an apartment building near to work). It’s actually on the 13th floor, but it’s probably less superstitious to call it the penthouse level, and the suites on this level are pretty spacious.

A couple of nights ago, there was a couple of hours of thunderstorm activity, which was pretty spectacular from my bedroom window.

I’ve also enjoyed some of the amenities, this one in particular being the small swimming pool next door on the 13th floor.

Now that is an impressive streak of lightening! What a view. That pool is gorgeous! No wonder you have been spending time there.

  2. These pictures really have me stumped. I took these two pictures with my iPad, and did some scaling in the iPad Photoshop app. They look fine on the iPad, but when I pushed them up to the Hubcrate.com site they show as upside down. Viewing hubcrate on my iPad the pictures show properly, whereas on my work computer they are upside down. So, I guess what needs to happen is if you are viewing this on a normal PC, you should turn your monitor upside down to check out the pictures (because you know on an iPad, you turn it upside and it turns with you…)

  3. Thankfully I was reading it on my laptop… much easier to turn the monitor upside down then my desktop widescreen monitor :)
