Brock thought some creativity was in order at the Houston Health Museum.

Davison and Brock looking relaxed despite being inside a giant mouth.

The girls enjoyed the spot.

Selfies with my (not so) little guys

The Amoeba Playground (our name)…

…in all it’s glory

The chair swings were way too fun and comfy.

 Fam selfies.

Fun day!!

Brock: “I’m just like a guy who works in a gift shop. I’m decorating gift wrap.”

Notice that the sticker on his back assures us that he is Organic, thanks to sister Mikaela’s apple.

So fun doing lessons with this guy

Heidi makes Dutch Babies for our lunch.

You probably can’t see the cute little green frog in Brock’s net, but he is there.

  Some backyard views

Behind the rosemary plant is one of our new baby Meyer lemon trees.

 Our new baby pomegranate tree

More babies: a blueberry bush, a lime tree, and a Meyer lemon tree

Our two baby peach trees

 And, sadly, our dead tree

Rainy days with friends and a crackling fire

Thanks for joining me as I roam through a few weeks of pics!

The Houston Hubers are enjoying having son and brother Rett visit us for a couple weeks! We heated the pool yesterday when we had company, and there is a bit of residual heat left today. Rett joined joined the rest, and hilarity ensued.

What a great way to celebrate Heidi’s 11th birthday today!

You’ll notice that the two younger guys have their wetsuits on, which keeps them a bit warmer and gives them a bit of extra buoyancy.

Rather than comment on each picture, I’ll just point out that even though several pictures look alike, notice the stages of water gun streams snaking their way to their intended targets.

Happy viewing!

A Few Pics From Our Recent Trip:

Strolling Through the Glenmore Reservoir Park

Frisbee: The funny thing was, a family stopped and watched us for several minutes.

20141019-175439.jpg

As has been mentioned before, if there’s a river, lake, creek, stream, swamp, ocean, or other body of water, the Huber family traditionally throws rocks into it. Ask one of us what happened this day…

You can see why we miss these guys.

On our drive through eastern Washington, we of course stopped at the couple of rest areas available. We had young children and an aging mom in the car, which is enough said.

Upon returning to the car on one of these stops, this is the sight that greeted me.

This fellow must have done a nose dive into the rubber sealing around the window; that was the only thing holding him there–his nose.

The second photo shows where he was on the window.

Poor guy.

We are usually in way too much of a hurry to stop at Multnomah Falls on our trips down the Columbia River Gorge from Oregon to Alberta.

Thursday was no exception–but we stopped anyway…long enough to get the selfies to prove we were there and get our feet cooled in the creek.

A balmy 69 F, blue skies, bright sunshine, a light breeze, bike rides, Grandpa doing all sorts of raking in our leafy/pine-needle-y yard, kids playing in the sandbox with Grandma, lying in the grass listening to music (bugs mostly still hibernating, thankfully), windows open to let in the breeze, a few cute little chameleons hanging around…what more could you ask? Thank you, Lord, for such a lovely day.

I know it’s hard to tell from the picture, but we had a cardinal in our yard yesterday morning. Fun!

…my friend, Laura, who first correctly identified our raucous visitor as a cicada.
